Who we need!We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our newest outpatient behavioral health program in Murray. The ideal candidate will be well-rounded and collaborative with a strong passion for member care in an integrated outpatient setting. This position will provide mental health services to children/adol and adults in achieving their overall recovery using evidence-based and person-centered practices.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Directs, coordinates, and provides medical/clinical services to members. This includes engagement, assessment, differential diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, family meetings, supportive psychotherapy, patient education, and risk assessment, and discharge planning.
  • Focus on the quality of care and member satisfaction with an interdisciplinary behavioral health team.
  • Maintain a collaborative approach to provide the highest level of member care.
  • Documents the members progress in the clinical record in addition to medication flow sheets according to established policy. Completes medication education and informed consent when possible.
  • Completes all clinical documentation in a timely manner in accordance with policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.
  • Participates in utilization management and quality improvement activities.
  • Practices according to evidence-based practices and DBHS Performance Improvement Protocols and Technical Assistance Documents as posted on the DBHS website.
  • Assures positive member outcomes by providing exceptional member care and timely documentation of services by consistently meeting optimal engagement and performance standards in accordance with policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.
  • Provide clinical coverage to any other clinic/program as needed.
  • Other duties as designated by the Program Director or Chief Medical Officer.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Requires a Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing.
  • Licensed in Utah with a Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification.
  • Current and valid DEA registration.
  • Experience and comfortable working with adult and or child/adol populations.
  • Must have the ability to be fully credentialed through the required payors.
  • Ability to pass a full background clearance to include state background check clearance.
