COPE Health Solutions is Hiring an Information Technology Specialist Near Los Angeles, CA

DescriptionThe Information Technology (IT) Specialist position is a full-time exempt position at COPE Health Solutions with growth potential in the IT department. The specialist must be an enthusiastic and innovative business professional who will thrive in a growing, dynamic, fast-paced organization. The position is primarily based out of the COPE Health Solutions’ office in Los Angeles.
The specialist will assist the Director of Information Technology with daily IT operations which may require travel to various COPE Health Solutions offices, as well as client sites nationally.
The specialist must be well organized, detailed-oriented, flexible, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and be able to effectively multi-task while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Primary initial responsibilities will include onboarding new team members, provisioning printer, desktop, laptop, mobile phone, and internet connectivity support, and contributing to ongoing IT and analytics projects as either a tester, researcher, or implementer when onboarding and help desk support isn't required.
The specialist will also be assessed and, as needed, trained to provide support for the COPE Health Solutions servers and various applications and software platforms. Within 3-6 months of hire, the specialist will be able to provide full coverage of the IT help desk.

Position Description
  • Provide IT training for new team members, to include, not limited to, audiovisual use, corporate phone use, introduction to the network drives, and using terminal services
  • Provide responsive and high-quality support for issues reported through the IT help desk
  • Provide project management support for IT and analytics projects as requested
  • Run the routine operations IT checklist
  • Assist with updating and developing internal policies and procedures
  • Assist with vendor relations
  • Manage equipment check out and check in
  • Assist with setting up and troubleshooting teleconferencing accounts
Position Expectations
  • Provide quality service to all team members at all times
  • Develop and maintain high levels of employee satisfaction
  • Meet with supervisor on a regular basis to report status of operations
  • Attend and take minutes for bi-weekly IT huddle meetings
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all information
Qualifications
  • Completed or pursuing B.A. or B.S. Degree in a related field
  • Minimum 1-3 years of business administrative work preferred
  • Microsoft Office knowledge and expertise required
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to work well independently
  • Able to work collaboratively and effectively while handling multiple projects on various timelines in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Flexible with work hours, able to travel, and available for occasional evening and weekend work
  • Interest in or experience with the health care industry a plus
Technical Skills
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Project) – certification a plus
  • Experience supporting printers, desktops, laptops, cell phones, and audio-visual conferencing equipment and software solutions preferred
  • Experience vetting, preferably with developing requirements, and assessing potential IT related vendors and solutions
  • Experience with server and application maintenance preferred
