COHO Consulting Group is seeking a Jr. Communications Specialist for internal and external communications support for a federal customer process improvement contract.

They shall assist the Sr. Communications SME to provide technical / functional management direction for problem definition, analysis, and requirements development and implementation in the area of communications strategy.

This role is hybrid on-site 2 days / week in Arlington, VA, and remote 3 days, unless otherwise required by the government project / meeting schedule.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to) :

• Assist with developing and implementing communications strategy
• Managing internal communications such as the monthly newsletter
• Drafting content for the newsletter and client website
• Attending the client meetings and drafting meeting minutes
• Support the team's development of presentations, reports, and briefing materials with elevated layout and streamlined information display

Essential Job Requirements :

• Education : Bachelor's degree in communications, English, marketing, or related field
• Required Knowledge / Experience : Relevant experience in a communications roleStrong editing, writing and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and content management systems
• Preferred Knowledge / Experience : Experience / knowledge of SharePointExperience / knowledge of Adobe and / or Publisher or comparable program
