Coral Casino Beach and Cabana Club is Hiring an Inventory Control Specialist Near Santa Barbara, CA

Title: Inventory Control Specialist

Department: Accounting

Reports to: Controller

Compensation: $27/hr - $30/hr DOE

General Purpose: The Inventory Control Specialist role is a key member of the accounting department responsible for receiving inventory, tracking inventory purchases, and leading the inventory cycle counts. The Inventory Control Specialist will directly support the Controller and work closely with the Food and Beverage, Retail and Facilities teams as required.

Essential Duties:

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. We are always looking for ways to make the business and team better.

  • Support Controller in developing inventory management improvement initiatives and processes.
  • Lead and conduct inventory cycle counts including researching and documenting inventory discrepancies to identify root causes and possible solutions.
  • Partner with F&B and Retail teams to prepare inventory to allow for timely and efficient inventory count process. Including identifying inventory discrepancies, disposals, and waste.
  • Develop a keen understanding of product quality standards set by the F&B teams.
  • Monitor and perform key functions related to inventory transactions to assure that they are accurate and timely, including identifying product returns and products scrapped.
  • Adhere to and provide guidance to F&B and Retail teams as necessary in accordance with inventory management standard operating procedures.
  • Assist in establishing minimums and maximums and par levels.
  • Inspects products in locations, ensuring that amount is correct, and items are labeled correctly.
  • Inventory tracking database input to ensure accuracy of received quantities, vendor, item SKU, unit of measurement, unit price and locations.
  • Develop and maintain delivery schedules by vendor for Monday – Saturday delivery days.
  • Develop a strong working relationship with vendor delivery drivers.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Self-motivated team player who can also work independently and with minimal direction.

  • Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Build & maintain strong, positive team partnerships to drive stronger business results and to resolve issues.

  • Well organized and self-directed with the ability to relate to all levels of an organization.
  • Must be a team player with high energy.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.

Experience & Education:

  • A minimum of 3 years of Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Excel) is required, 4 years are preferred.
  • In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, an additional 3-5 years of relevant experience is acceptable.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, and reach.
  • Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift items up to 55 pounds.
  • Ability to withstand continuous repetitive motions.
