Responsibilities
Culinary Leadership: Provide visionary guidance and manage the entire culinary research and development process from initial product conception to final implementation.
Innovation: Develop novel product offerings tailored for each level of the hotel, including 5 unique restaurant and bar outlets, a grab ‘n go barista, room service, catering, and distinctive themed events.
Trend Monitoring: Keep a finger on the pulse of industry trends, initiating collaborations with both internal teams and external partners to elevate our culinary offerings.
Menu Creation: Manage comprehensive menu creation, detailing dish specifications, ingredient lists, and portion sizes.
Procurement Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with purchasing teams to identify and source necessary products.
Quality Assurance: Introduce and uphold standards, processes, and tools to ensure consistent culinary excellence across the property.
Team Guidance: Foster the growth and proficiency of the culinary team by ensuring adherence to the company’s high standards, processes, and systems.
Feedback Management: Actively monitor feedback from in-house guests, community patrons, key stakeholders and internal team members, implementing necessary changes to guarantee maximum guest satisfaction.
Quality Control: Collaborate with Food & Beverage management to instate rigorous quality assurance measures, such as audits, culinary focus groups, tastings, and surveys.
Qualifications
Proven experience in an Executive Chef role with 5 – 8 years of relevant work experience in similar scope and title
Experience in pre-opening/opening a new hotel within food and beverage discipline is highly preferred
Experience in a comparable AAA Four Diamond/Four Star hotel or higher is highly desired
A rich experience in successfully creating and launching new culinary concepts
Proven ability to manage and lead a high-volume/high quality banquet operation
Demonstrated expertise in training and team-building initiatives
Proficiency in multitasking and managing culinary departments across multiple outlets
