We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded and seasoned General Manager of Pool Operations to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort opening team! We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pools Operation General Manager to oversee the management and operation of our three distinct pool areas. These include a family-friendly pool area, a relaxing, bar-oriented adult-only pool, and a private pool exclusively for our club members.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Restaurants & Pools, you will assist with managing the opening of this incredible resort. This role functions as the strategic business leader of the property’s Outdoor Pools and Recreation.
Responsibilities

Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day operations of all three pool areas, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
- Ensuring the pool operation for all three pools, meets the brand’s target customer needs, ensures employee satisfaction, and focuses on growing revenues and maximizing the financial performance of the department.
- Developing and implementing strategies for the pool areas that deliver products and services to exceed the needs and expectations of the resort guests.
- Hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating pool staff, attendants, and maintenance personnel.
- Controlling costs through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, inventory control, and cost control measures, observing and making recommendations for improvement of facilities and equipment as required.
- Monitoring pool usage, implementing crowd control measures when necessary, and ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Collaborating with other department managers to coordinate events, activities, and services that enhance the overall pool experience for members and guests.
- Overseeing pool maintenance schedules, repairs, and renovations as needed, ensuring minimal disruption to members.
- A solid knowledge of food & beverage, strong wine and liquor knowledge, creativity, ambition, and strong business acumen, work ethic, and people-management skills.
- The ability to react and adjust to changing business environments and lead the team in ensuring efficient financial management of the business.
- Ability to motivate and lead a team of professionals.
- Applicants are required to have at least 3 to 5 years' experience.
- Strong knowledge of pool operations, safety standards, and maintenance practices.
- Knowledge of five-star service standards
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment, subject to the local weather conditions.
