Building Secretary Assistant K-12 (0.50 FTE)

Purpose: To provide clerical support to assigned personnel; communicating information and/or direction to staff and the public.

Corbett SD offers comprehensive medical, vision, dental and other benefits. Our students are on a four-day week. Our staff works in collaborative teams, with small class sizes and supportive families.


Job Description/Functions/Qualifications/Education/Training
:

  • The position is classified under the supervision of the Grade School Principal.
  • Proficiency in data entry and spreadsheet record keeping.
  • Tasks could include data entry, appointment scheduling, calendar management, budget tracking, monitoring and/or ordering supplies, including important information communications and/or deliveries with daily transportation routines or changes to transportation routines of students with the appropriate staff.
  • Proficiency in G Suite: Google Meets, Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Forms and Synergy (Student Information System) preferred.
  • Other responsibilities for which qualified or assigned by supervisor and/or their designee to assist staff in the completion of the work activities.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required and Associate's Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Responds to inquiries of staff, the public, families, and/or students for the purpose of providing information and/or direction as may be required.
  • Answers telecommunication system for the purpose of screening, transferring, responding to inquiries and/or taking messages.
  • Processes documents and materials (e.g. schedules, agendaas, mail, etc.) for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate parties.
  • Composes documents for the purpose of communicating to staff, families and community.
  • Assists with transcript and records requests including filing and auditing for student files.
  • Monitors arrival and departure of students and/or school volunteers.
  • Coordinates Food Service/Kitchen reporting when needed and/or daily point of service, account transactions, and other tasks or communications involved with student meals.
  • Maintains regular and appropriate attendance and is on time for assignments for the purpose of meeting the needs of the student and staffing schedules in the district.
  • Evaluates situations involving other staff, students, guardians, patrons in the community or facility maintenance needs for the purpose of solving the requirements of the students and the District by taking appropriate action or direction to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
  • Onsite and/or online training required for CPR/First Aid, QPR, Medication Administration, BBP, SafeSchools/Vector, and professional development as needed.
  • Application materials as requested including Criminal History and ODE fingerprinting clearances as required.

Calendar: 162 days per year (includes 146 student contact days, 5 holidays and 11 non-student contact days)

FTE: 0.50 (Part-Time)/20 hours per week
Salary Range: Class 2, /Steps 1-7
