Job DescriptionPosition Title: Outside Construction Loader Operator Reports To: Warehouse Manager Department: Warehouse FLSA: Non-Exempt Location: Detroit, MI Job Summary:We are looking for a Front Loader Operator to join our team! The person in this position will be responsible for helping plan and participate in the warehouse and material yard operations and activities of the Company. Work is in a fast-paced environment that requires full time hours, as well as overtime and the ability to work on the weekend. This person would spend 90% of their time outdoors in all weather elements, inside a climate-controlled cab.Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Unloading vendor delivery trucks with large cable reels, boxes, poles, etc. and moving them to their appropriate location in the yard or warehouse
Loading and unloading of company owned trucks and trailers using industrial forklifts.
Operate a variety of warehouse/yard equipment and vehicles in a safe manner (forklifts, front loader, excavator)
Perform simple math accurately (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Maintaining company equipment used in daily duties
Assure stock, warehouse and yard areas are kept tidy and organized
Daily reporting of material issued for jobs
Requirements:
Minimum three years’ experience
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed and work in all weather conditions
Ability to pass a drug-screening and MVR check
Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
Meet schedules and deadlines
Knowledge of proper lifting and record-keeping techniques
Communicate effectively, calmly, and efficiently with others
Compensation:
Compensation will start at $18 per hour (based on experience)
