Cordia Resources is seeking a Procurement Specialist for a leading government contractor. As a Procurement Specialist you will play a critical role in our procurement process, ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services to support our government contracts. The ideal candidate will have experience using Costpoint, a deep understanding of government procurement regulations, and a proven track record of successful procurement management.Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to understand procurement needs and develop procurement strategies.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
- Prepare and issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to solicit bids from vendors.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with government regulations.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation in accordance with government requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
- Assist with the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in government procurement regulations and industry best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on government contracts.
- Proficiency in Costpoint software.
- Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and government procurement processes.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
