Job Summary:
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a critical role in our finance team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of billing, posting, and collections activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of accounts receivable principles and procedures. While experience with NetSuite is a plus, it is not required, as we offer training for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Process customer invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Conduct regular follow-ups with customers to ensure timely collections and resolve outstanding payment issues
- Post customer payments to appropriate accounts, reconciling any discrepancies as needed
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies and provide necessary documentation for dispute resolution
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, payment status, and collection efforts
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and reporting
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in accounts receivable management
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional accounting or finance education is a plus
- Proven experience (2 years) in accounts receivable, billing, posting, and collections
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable principles, procedures, and best practices
- Proficiency in using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general accounting software
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus, but not required (training provided)
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
