Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Catering Chef to join our team. The Caterer will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring high-quality catering services for various events in a fast paced environment. Must be passionate about food, team success, and a creative problem solver. In turn, generous compensation awaits the right long term team member, including bonus and benefits for full-time hours.

Duties:
- Plan, prepare, and execute catering menus for events such as weddings, corporate functions, and private parties at various price points

- Design seasonal menus as requested

- Knowledge of various cooking appliances from ovens, proofers, griddles, outdoor grills and dishwashers
- Manage food production, including cooking, plating, and presentation
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and storage
- Supervise kitchen staff and provide leadership to maintain a positive work environment
- Collaborate with vendors to source the best value best priced ingredients and supplies and be responsible to check in deliveries and quality check items.

- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as directed

- Able to present food costing details and document profitability requirements

- Proficient Kitchen sheet producer and supervising packing and loading of events.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of catering onsite and offsite events as requested.

- Assist in craft cocktail design, beer and wine seasonal selections, and alcohol procurement

- Present self professionally as brand ambassador for company and partners when requested

Skills:
- Proficiency in kitchen operations and food management
- Strong leadership abilities to guide kitchen staff effectively with a positive attitude
- Culinary expertise in preparing a variety of dishes for diverse events

- Attention to details and able to adhere to schedules and timing
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with clients and guests
- Knowledge of food handling best practices and sanitation standards
- Experience working in catering specific culinary services is preferred

- Computer literate and able to utilize email and smartphone apps as needed for business purposes

Pay: $21.13 - $25.45 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
