Core Force is Hiring a Collections Specialist Near Edison, NJ

Job Description

We have an immediate opening for a Collection Associate here at Core Force.

Job Summary:

Monitor collection of outstanding receivables and contact retail customers for payment. Cross-Train and learn all collection accounts and support in a 'floating' role as needed.

Process credit card payments using web portal application and collect and update customer credit card information. Handle all customer service requests related to accounts receivable but not limited to; requesting proof of delivery from shipping carrier, sending invoices copies to customers, preparing statements in excel, mailing invoices and statements.

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Collections:

  • Track and resolve outstanding payment issues and generate weekly aging reports in a timely manner
  • Initiate calls and/or correspondence with retail customers to inquire about outstanding A/R balances
  • Place collection calls and initiate written correspondence to retail customers
  • Monitor and maintain assigned accounts - customer calls, account adjustments, small balance write off and customer reconciliations
  • Conduct account research and analysis to resolve billing disputes and payment discrepancies
  • Work with the factor (Bank) and collectors to make sure that past dues are being worked
  • Reduce delinquency for assigned accounts
  • Enlist the efforts of sales and senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection process
  • Communicate and follow up effectively with direct manager regarding customer accounts on a timely basis
  • Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with customers and company staff
  • Weekly and monthly reporting to Clients
  • Reconcile customer disputes as they pertain to payment of outstanding balances

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Excellent communication skills; written, verbal, and oral communication
  • 3 years with B2B collections, preferably in for retail vendors
  • Chargeback Experience a PLUS
  • College Degree and Strong math and solid analytical skills are essential.
  • Data entry and Excel skills required (vlookup, Pivot) a PLUS
  • Deadline oriented and good organization skills
  • Consistent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Flexibility to change and learn new processes quickly and the ability to work in a team environment

Key Accounts:

*Customer base* are big box retailers not limited to: Walmart, Target, JCP, Kohl’s, K-mart, Sears, Dicks Sporting Goods, luxury retailers and Dept Stores like Nordstrom, Kohls, Walmart,, Saks, Macy. Off price & Close Out customers like TJX, Burlington and Bealls. Online retailers include Amazon.com, and other retailer channels including foreign retailers
