Marine Superintendent, Tankers ( Jones Act ) Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Marine Superintendent for our Tanker division. The Marine Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of our tanker fleet. This role requires a deep understanding of tanker operations, strong leadership skills, and the ability to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards. Marine Superintendent, Tankers ( Jones Act ) Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of assigned tankers, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Ensure all tankers operate in accordance with international, national, and company safety standards.
Coordinate and supervise scheduled maintenance, repairs, and dry-docking activities to ensure vessels are in top operational condition.
Work closely with the crewing department to ensure vessels are manned with qualified personnel.
Manage operating budgets for assigned vessels, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high safety and operational standards.
Lead investigations and responses to any incidents or accidents, ensuring timely reporting and implementation of corrective actions.
Provide technical and operational support to vessels, including troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during operations.
Ensure all vessels comply with relevant maritime laws, regulations, and industry standards, including MARPOL, SOLAS, and ISM Code.
Marine Superintendent, Tankers ( Jones Act ) Position Requirements
Maritime Degree or equivalent.
Previously sailed in a licensed Deck Officer position; tanker experience required.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with NS-Enterprise preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: Chief Mate preferred.
Familiarity with vessel operations and the Jones Act is mandatory.
