CORE Staffing is Hiring a Compensation Consultant Near New York, NY

Our client, an asset management firm, is seeking a Compensation Consultant to join their team through February.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Compensation team with compensation analysis and data review in preparation for the year-end process
  • Supports the year-end annual compensation process including bonus pool analysis, maintenance of compensation templates for managers, compensation statements for employees and enhancements of related year-end processes
  • Learn compensation system and be able to utilize / manage information collection
  • Improves current state of function through automation and repeatable report creation for respective businesses
  • Develop reports and other presentations for review of year-end compensation decisions
  • Model potential pools and spend outcomes; prepare reconciliations of various data sources
  • Help test compensation system and prepare for year-end cycle launch
  • Assist the team with the continued administration and governance of the Firm’s compensation system (beqom).
  • Review development items, conduct testing, identify areas for further enhancement. Monitor and track progress against deadlines
  • Partner with other HC teams and stakeholders to ensure the system is running effectively, and critical requirements are met. Help document system processes and actions, and aid in troubleshooting issues
  • Support the team with equity administration initiatives, inclusive of both quarterly as well as year end grants, as well as ad hoc situations. Review and reconcile award data, ensuring high levels of accuracy
  • Help pull ad hoc report requests on either compensation or equity areas, and deliver thoughtful and effective results in a timely fashion

Requirements:

  • 5 years of relevant experience in HR and payroll in a diverse, complex global enterprise
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a related field required
  • Knowledge of applicable Federal and State HR/Payroll and IRS regulations that impact payroll
  • Advanced Excel skills & experience with M365
  • Workday experience
  • Experience working in a payroll function to maximize automation, scalability and cost effectiveness
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to confidently present complex information to all levels of the organization
  • Experience setting up payroll requirements for new tax entities
  • Flexibility and ability to work varying hours to accommodate for different time zones
  • Approachable and responsive with the ability to build trust and confidence with internal employees and external partners
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and complex environment
