Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager

Job Summary: The FP&A Manager is responsible for providing financial insights and projections to the finance team. This individual will play a key role in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support the company’s strategic decision-making. The FP&A Manager will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and drive financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Lead the annual budgeting process, including coordinating with various departments to gather and consolidate financial data.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting and scenario analysis.
• Provide monthly and quarterly forecasts, highlighting key variances and trends.

Financial Analysis:

• Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial ratio analysis.
• Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to senior management.
• Analyze financial performance against budget and prior periods, identifying key drivers of variances.

Strategic Planning:

• Support long-term strategic planning efforts by providing financial insights and analysis.
• Work with senior leadership to develop financial plans aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
• Evaluate potential investment opportunities and perform financial due diligence.

Reporting:

• Prepare regular financial reports, including management reports, board reports, and ad hoc analysis.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Develop and implement reporting tools and dashboards to enhance financial visibility.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with department heads to understand business needs and provide financial guidance.
• Partner with accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
• Lead financial meetings to discuss performance and forecasts with key stakeholders.

Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function.
• Develop and maintain standardized templates and processes for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and financial trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
• 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or related roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial software).
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.

Work Environment:

• This position typically operates in an office environment. Some travel may be required for meetings and conferences.
