Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 Bonus
Location: Miami, FL
My client specializes in providing tailored resort and hotel services, ecotourism and destination services to luxury hotels. With a focus on innovation and client satisfaction, they strive to elevate the standards of hospitality management in their industry, and they are looking for a Staff Accountant to join their accounting and finance team.
Responsibilities:
- Recording and maintaining daily financial transactions for several companies, including but not limited to, the following areas:
- Accounts receivable
- Accounts payable
- Outside vendor reconciliations
- Banking activity, including preparation of daily revenue entries before review and posting
- Assist in collection of data for, and processing of, payroll for several companies
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and reporting schedules for several companies
- Assist with the monthly and annual close process for several companies, ensuring close deadlines are met
- Assist with internal and external audit requests for several companies
- 6 years' relevant work experience, within the hospitality industry is preferred
- Considerable knowledge of the laws and regulations relating to local and federal accounting procedures and requirements
- Considerable knowledge of bookkeeping theory principles and practices, and their relation to varied and complex transactions
- Ability to analyze bookkeeping problems and to recognize and develop pertinent data therefrom with strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude
