Primary Responsibilities/Functions
- Management of Indirect Procurement requirements, via purchase requisition submission.
- Ensure robust communication with functional groups on status of procurement requirements.
- Negotiate pricing and delivery to reduce costs and meet delivery requirements.
- Coordinate with warehouse on inbound requirements and set receiving priorities.
- Resolve receiving/invoicing issues by interfacing with the required functional groups, management and suppliers.
- Interface with supplier and internal functional groups to resolve supply chain issues.
- Ensure on-time order fulfillment, investigate delays with supplier.
- Perform other related activities as assigned by management.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure cost savings, quality, and timely delivery
- Conduct comprehensive spend analysis to optimize procurement processes and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Provide support in identifying vendors
- Track vendor performance and implement improvement plans
- Facilitate competitive bidding process when required
- Ensure efficient sourcing, acquisition, and inventory control to support company operations
- 3 years of related experience, preferable in the procurement field
- Familiarity with GMP / FDA regulations
- ERP experience (highly preferred)
- Must be flexible and able to multitask effectively
- Team Player Mentality is essential
- Excellent Communication Skills a must
- Strong Computer Skills (Microsoft Office)
- Highly organized and self-directed; able to function effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing competing demands
- BS/BA degree in Business, Finance, Accounting from an accredited university; or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- May be required to lift items weighing up to 25lbs.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
