The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing instructional and reference support to students, faculty, and staff, contributing to the educational and research endeavors of the institution.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert reference assistance to students, faculty, and staff, guiding them in the effective use of the college's resources, databases, and catalog systems.
• Conduct in-depth research and offer tailored information solutions to meet users' specific needs, both in-person and virtually.
• Collaborate with teaching faculty to design and deliver information literacy instruction, workshops, and training sessions that enhance students' research skills and promote critical thinking.
• Assist in developing and maintaining instructional materials, guides, and tutorials to support information literacy initiatives.
• Stay current with emerging trends in library science, educational technology, and information resources, incorporating these insights into the development of library services.
• Participate in collection development activities, including evaluating and recommending new resources, databases, and materials to enhance the library's holdings.
• Contribute to the organization and maintenance of the library's physical and digital collections, ensuring efficient accessibility and usability.
• Engage in outreach efforts to promote library services and resources, fostering a strong sense of community and engagement within the college.
• Collaborate with colleagues and staff on projects, committees, and initiatives aimed at continuous improvement of library services.
• Maintain accurate records and statistics related to reference interactions, instruction sessions, and usage of library resources.
• Adhere to library policies, guidelines, and best practices, ensuring a positive user experience and the smooth operation of library services.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Library Science (MLS) or Library and Information Science (MLIS) from an accredited institution.
• 5-7 years of recent experience in an academic or research library, with a focus on reference services and information literacy.
