Corewell Health Corporate is Hiring a Physician - Complex Care Pediatrician, Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Near Grand Rapids, MI

The Division of Comprehensive Care at HDVCH is recruiting a pediatric complex care physician. This physician will help develop the new program to care for children with medical complexities. The complex care physician will be responsible for providing care to an appropriate cohort of medically complex pediatric patients including:

  • Evaluation and management common clinical issues in children with medical complexity

  • Provide comprehensive perioperative assessment and management

  • Develop and implement safety and emergency plans

  • Perform effective, team-based, patient-and family centered care coordination, advocate for children with medical complexity and their families.

  • Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.

  • Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities.

This provider will also importantly collaborate with the pediatric subspecialists to provide a comprehensive overview and engage specialists as needed. In addition, the new physician would provide support to the Care Partners nursing teams who provide care coordination and navigation to a cohort of medically complex patients.

**Preferred experience within Complex Care & Palliative Care settings**

Qualifications

  • BC/BE Pediatrics

  • LIC-State of Michigan (MD/DO)

  • CRT-DEA Registration - State of Michigan

  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS)/Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
