Cornell Property Management is Hiring a Floating Property Manager Near Newark, DE

Cornell Property Management Corp. is seeking a Floating Property Manager who is knowledgeable and experienced with Tax Credit Housing. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience overseeing LIHTC properties. Candidate must provide effective leadership to ensure the success of the community, while also maximizing the overall operating performance and effectiveness of the assigned property.

Responsibilities

  • Assist, oversee, and coordinate all apartment documents, including but not limited to, renewals, move-in/move-outs, re-certifications, and leasing
  • Inspect and arrange maintenance to meet standards
  • Maintain a positive, productive relationship with tenants
  • Process re-certifications, build / manage credible waiting lists for each unit type – anticipate issues impacting occupancy and financial performance – meet deadlines – work proactively
  • Advertise and market vacant apartments to attract tenants
  • Collect receivable accounts and manage operating expenses
  • Assist with multiple properties personnel and assess its performance including unit inspections
  • Accomplish financial goals and report periodically on financial performance
  • Supervise and train property staff
  • Enforce property rules and regulations, including marketing property, filling vacancies, screening prospective tenants and enforcing leases

Skills

  • Proven work experience as property manager
  • Fully understanding property management and its financial aspects
  • In depth knowledge of all rules and regulations surrounding property management including LIHTC & HUD requirements/guidelines is preferred
  • Competency in MS Office and relevant databases and software
  • Customer focus and bottom line orientation
  • Well organized with excellent time management skills
  • Team Leader
  • Excellent Communication Skills

We require a valid driver's license and conduct background screening.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
