Corner Alliance is Hiring a Financial Analyst Near Washington, DC

About the Role:
As a Financial Analyst supporting our Federal government client, you will play a critical role in providing financial and analytical insights to manage the operations of its customer-facing Contact Center infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting research, providing insights, and performing review and financial analysis towards updating, upgrading, and elevating services for geographically distributed call centers in CONUS. Specifically, a successful Financial Analyst will perform reviews, conduct analysis, and provide justifications for financial data being generated by the program, or being submitted to the program in the execution of its responsibilities. Budget construction, justification, compliance, and alignment are expected. Additionally, independent verification and validation of invoices, financial documents, and other ad hoc requests will be performed on client stakeholder submissions to the program. The role will require a self-starter, comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced team setting.
Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
  • Assistance with budget execution and forecasting
  • Tracking of monthly expenditures against actuals and budget projections
  • Development of cost and savings models to track program cost and savings projections against actuals
  • Perform invoice verification and validation analysis for equipment and services
  • Review bills for accuracy, report invoice discrepancies, support disputes, and make recommendations to the Program Office on the acceptance or rejection of products and services
  • Provide detailed records of invoices that can be archived
  • Assist in the creation of performance metrics
Location:
You will work as part of a remote team.
Required Experience/Skills:
  • A Bachelor’s degree and 8 years (or MA and 6) of experience in financial analysis
  • Understanding of budgeting execution, forecasting, and reconciliation of payment
  • Knowledge of financial tools and software
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring financial accuracy
  • Understanding of invoice management processes and best practices
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with financial data and models
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to pass a public trust clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident
Preferred Experience/Skills:
  • Knowledge of contact center operations and related technologies
  • Previous experience supporting the IRS
  • Active IRS or treasury clearance (MBI letter)
