Job Summary

Cornerstone Hospitality is a boutique hotel development and management firm, based in Williamsburg, Virginia, that operates both branded and independent boutique hotels throughout Virginia as well as Delaware, Indiana, Louisiana, North Carolina and Vermont. We are seeking a dynamic and passionate leader to serve as General Manager for the Residence Inn by Marriott in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Responsibilities and Duties

Day-to-day activities include:

• Oversight of the hotel and sales operations.
• Oversight and leadership of all operating departments, department leadership and teams.
• Development and implementation of sales programs, guest experience programs, and special events.
• Budget development and management of the Hotel Division and any other revenue source within the property; achievement of financial objectives.
• Management of all daily tasks, financial reporting, weekly reporting, and ensuring all accounting controls are in place and adhered to.
• Development and growth of team members, implementation of training programs that aid in the development and cross-training of all team members.
• Development of all asset management programs including CAPEX plans, maintenance and PM programs.
• Manage all employees, direct, review, resolve employee related issues, administer disciplinary actions.
• Manage all Sales, social media, travel site reviews.
• Potential corporate growth for the right individual.

Qualifications and Skills

The successful candidate must have:

• Marriott hotel experience, preferably with Residence Inn as well.
• Multiple years of hospitality experience in a leadership position.
• Ability to creatively lead and build service-minded teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proven leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work various schedules based on business demands.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S., pass background screening and references checks, and willing to relocate.
