St. Augustine, FLA succesful electrical company based out of St. Augustine is actively searching for a Construction Controller to join their team. This company specializes in new construction as well servicing large commercial buildings such as apartments, hotels, and office buildings throughout the area.
Job Description:We are looking for an experienced Controller with construction industry experience to join our growth oriented company who shares our philosophy of running an electrical business with a primary focus on the safety and welfare of our employees.
- Develop and maintain financial controls and procedures for all construction projects
- Prepare and analyze financial reports for each project, including budget vs actual analysis and cash flow projections
- Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS
- Coordinate with project managers to review project budgets and ensure cost control measures are in place
- Monitor project expenses and report any variances to senior management
- Work closely with the project team to identify and manage project risks
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including banks and other financial institutions
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction accounting and financial management
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
- Experience with project management and cost control
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
