Cornerstone Recruiting is Hiring a Construction Estimator Near Nashua, NH

A full-service structural steel and misc. metals supplier, fabrication & erection company is seeking an experienced Structural Steel and Miscellaneous Metals Estimator. You will play a vital role in the pre-construction phase of our projects, ensuring accurate cost estimates for structural steel and miscellaneous metal components.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed material take-offs from structural and architectural drawings.
  • Analyze project specifications and identify all required steel and miscellaneous metals.
  • Obtain competitive quotes from vendors as needed.
  • Develop comprehensive cost estimates considering material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
  • Prepare proposals and bids for potential projects.
  • Maintain accurate project cost records and monitor project budgets.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in structural steel and miscellaneous metals estimating.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret complex architectural and structural drawings.
  • Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication processes and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in steel estimating software (e.g., Strumis, Tekla PowerFab) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
