General Functions: Provide support services for staff and individuals including customer service, data entry, audits, and reporting for the behavioral health programs
.Specific Functions: Enter information regarding program participants into appropriate system. Track paperwork and document submission.
Compile tracking information and reports as indicated by supervisor.
Complete benefit and insurance eligibility phone calls for all individuals in the Behavioral Health department and assist designated staff and/or consumers with troubleshooting insurance issues.
Participate in MCO provider orientation and update meetings as needed; work closely with the Behavioral Health Billing and Services Authorization Clerk on insurance issues.
Complete consumer case file audits to ensure compliance with applicable agency and department standards; communicate verbally and in writing any findings/issues to the Coordinator/Manager.
Track department staff compliance with DMH clinical supervision requirements.
Report any concerns regarding compliance with rules and regulations to the Coordinator of Community Transitions.
Any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Working knowledge of computerized systems critical, including MS Excel. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail imperative. Prior work in a healthcare setting with billing and eligibility experience preferred. A general understanding of Medicare and Medicaid programs desired. Working knowledge of behavioral health programs, including supportive housing and Medicaid Rule 132 is preferred. A criminal background check and post offer drug screen required. Reliable transportation required. EOE.
