Responsibilities:
- Contributes to the creation of budgets, forecasts, operational plans, and long-term strategic plans.
- Generates ad-hoc reports and conducts financial and operational analyses as required.
- Collaborates with accounting, budgeting, and operational teams to implement tools for tracking trends and results.
- Develops dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and other reporting tools to help department leaders better understand and manage their operations.
- Creates reporting tools and performs analyses to support ongoing strategic initiatives.
- Evaluates department and program performance against plans/forecasts, recommending actions to meet targets and goals.
- Engages in and manages key financial initiatives and strategic projects.
- Reviews existing processes to recommend improvements, especially regarding the month-end close process.
- Promotes consistent and exemplary processes across operating units. Works with operational departments to integrate financial information, identify strategic actions, and mitigate potential risks.
- Collaborates with other department leaders to enhance financial decision-making, introduce process discipline, and ensure appropriate controls to safeguard company assets.
- Leads and participates in the month-end close process, including inventory counts and observations.
- Assists in creating and posting general ledger entries for unbilled revenue and inventory.
- Actively participates in corporate activities such as annual audits, acquisition due diligence/integration, and system upgrades/enhancements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Over 5 years of experience in investment banking, public accounting, or Financial Planning & Analysis.
- Preferred experience with COINS ERP and the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial practices and standards.
- Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Proven problem-solving, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and results-oriented, capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong analytical abilities applied to business and financial data.
