**Job Summary:**

The Domain Architect is responsible for all architecture and design decisions within a specific domain, ensuring that technology solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements, adhere to architectural standards, and align with long-term digital transformation strategies. This role is crucial for driving key technology decisions and maintaining domain technology roadmaps. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and expertise in developing secure, scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant distributed applications.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Domain Leadership Engagement:**

- Participate in the Domain Leadership Team.

- Drive consensus on technology strategy.

- Validate technology feasibility for business cases and concept proposals. (10%)

- **Domain OKRs and Projects:**

- Understand business requirements with domain stakeholders.

- Ensure designs adhere to architecture guidelines and standards. (15%)

- **Solution Architecture Support:**

- Partner with Solution Architects for high-level design.

- Validate low-level designs and provide guidance.

- Mentor Solution Architects. (15%)

- **Business Capabilities and Technology Architecture:**

- Create and maintain business capability maps and perform capability assessments.

- Develop technology roadmaps and value streams. (15%)

- **Documentation:**

- Capture and document decisions, risks, impediments, and open items.

- Ensure stakeholder consensus is documented. (15%)

- **Architecture Governance:**

- Oversee and approve high-level and low-level designs.

- Make decisions on buy-vs-build and represent the domain in governance routines. (20%)

- **Cross-Domain Collaboration:**

- Drive design consensus with other domain architects.

- Identify and manage cross-domain impacts and reusable design aspects. (10%)

1. **Coordination Among Multiple Teams and Vendors:**

- Establish clear communication channels and mentor involved parties to ensure alignment.

2. **Adhering to Architectural Standards:**

- Engage early with stakeholders to align designs with delivery timelines.

3. **Vendor Engagements:**

- Conduct thorough technical due diligence to align with strategic goals.

**Decision-Making Responsibilities:**

- Solve critical business problems with strong business acumen.

- Manage full technology architecture and relevant parts of SDLC.

- Approve system designs that align with architecture standards and guidelines.

**Working Relationships:**

- **Solution & SME Architects:** Coordinate system solutions (Weekly)

- **Platform Teams:** Coordinate system solutions (As needed)

- **Design Stakeholders:** Architecture and development walk-through and sign-offs (As needed)

- **Domain Leadership:** Create and maintain capability maps and technology strategy (Weekly)

**Knowledge and Skills:**

- **Education:**

- Preferred: Associate Two-Year College Degree

- Preferred: Four-Year College Degree (BA or BS)

- **Experience:**

- Required: 2-5 years of relevant/progressive work experience

- Preferred: 5-10 years of relevant/progressive work experience

- **Skills:**

- Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP), broad technology experience, software development expertise, project management skills, and strong business acumen.

- Excellent presentation, whiteboarding, and communication skills.

**Supervision:**

- **Team Oversight:**

- No direct reports; oversight of ad hoc teams and contingent workers as needed.

**Additional Comments:**

- Ability to work independently, strong organizational and flexibility skills, and excellent time management in a team-oriented environment.
