Job Title: Functional HCM PeopleSoft Analyst

Location: Arlington, TX (Hybrid)

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a Functional HCM PeopleSoft Analyst to join their IT Department. This role is essential for supporting and optimizing Human Capital Management (HCM) PeopleSoft applications, ensuring smooth system functionality, providing production support, managing project/process improvements, report writing, and user training. The ideal candidate will act as a key liaison between the technical team and HR functional areas, supporting system upgrades, patches, testing, enhancements, and other technical projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the review, testing, and implementation of HCM PeopleSoft system upgrades or patches.

Collaborate with HR functional and technical staff to apply upgrades, enhancements, and/or fixes.

Maintain PeopleSoft system tables and document processes and results.

Write, maintain, and execute test scripts for PeopleSoft system validation.

Manage PeopleSoft-related projects and process improvements, including identifying trends, designing solutions, implementing changes, maintaining systems, testing, troubleshooting, and other enhancements.

Provide support for HCM PeopleSoft applications, including researching and resolving issues not resolved by Tier I Support, addressing unexpected results or process flaws, performing scheduled activities, and recommending solutions or alternative methods to meet HR requirements.

Partner with various HR business functions to identify new enhancements, updates, or maintenance opportunities. Translate business objectives and needs into clearly written functional-technical requirements specific to PeopleSoft.

Write, maintain, and support various reports or queries utilizing PeopleSoft reporting tools. Assist in the development of standard reports for ongoing HR needs.

Ensure system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.

Develop user procedures, guidelines, and documentation. Train users on new processes/functionality and new system users as needed.

Provide support for creating and updating PeopleSoft user security roles and permission lists.

Stay current with trends in HCM PeopleSoft, focusing on product and service development, delivery, and support.

Conduct all business professionally and ethically to serve customers and enhance the company’s goodwill and profitability.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human Resources, or a related field.

Four to seven years of equivalent work experience and/or training in HCM PeopleSoft.

Strong understanding of HR processes and data, including benefit eligibility, enrollment rules, and payroll procedures.

Extensive knowledge of HCM PeopleSoft applications, including their design, structure, functions, and processes, as well as experience with database tools.

Experience with agile project management methodologies.

Effective organizational and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication.

Previous exposure to project-related activities through active participation in system-related projects.

Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to multi-task and attention to detail.
