Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Director to lead our clinical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in methadone treatment and a passion for helping individuals recover from opioid addiction. The Medical Director will oversee all medical aspects of the treatment center, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the medical management of patients receiving methadone treatment.
- Develop and implement clinical protocols and procedures.
- Supervise and support medical staff, including physicians, nurses, and counselors.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, medication management, and follow-up.
- Conduct regular staff training and development sessions.
- Participate in community outreach and education efforts.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO with a valid medical license in Maryland.
- Board certification in Addiction Medicine, Psychiatry, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in methadone treatment or opioid addiction treatment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
