2024-2025 Salary :
$18.50 per hour
Position:
Eight (8) hours per day
Twelve (12) month position

GENERAL SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Technology Support Specialist’s role is to support and maintain computer systems, desktops, laptops, and peripherals. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training and assistance where required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex PC/Mac problems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective hardware solutions.
Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware, networked peripheral devices, and networking hardware products.
Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot associated end user workstation software and networking software products.
Receive and respond to incoming calls, pages, and/or e-mails regarding PC/Mac and/or hardware problems.
Construct, install, and test customized configurations based on various platforms and operating systems.
Monitor and test PC/Mac performance and provide PC/Mac performance statistics and reports.
Conduct research on computer products in support of PC/Mac procurement and development efforts. Evaluate and recommend hardware products for purchase.
Write technical specifications for purchase of PC/Macs, networking hardware and related products.
Recommend, schedule, and perform PC/Mac, hardware and peripheral equipment improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware and equipment contracts and supervise contract-based installations.
If necessary, liaise with third-party support and PC/Mac equipment vendors.
Work with end users to identify and deliver required PC service levels.
Perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex PC/Mac problems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective hardware and software solutions.
Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot servers.
Monitor, configure, and test user accounts on servers and network.
Assist with network, server, hardware, and software install, configuration, and analysis.
Assist and install cable, patch panels, routers, switches, routers, and other networking components.
Repair printers, PC towers, monitors, Macs, printers, laptops, and other hardware components.
