Coronis Health is Hiring a Customer Service Representative Near Sykesville, MD

Job Title: Customer Service Representative – Remote
Reports to: Customer Service Supervisor/ Customer Service Manager
Salary: $24.00 - $30.00
  • Starting pay varies based on location and experience, in compliance with specific state wage regulations. Competitive rates tailored to your geography and expertise.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Answer calls in a timely and professional manner.
  • Answer questions related to bills received by patients, insurance companies, and/or doctor’s offices.
  • Process payments via the patient portal.
  • Return patient calls received in voicemail from the previous days business.
  • Update accounts with correct insurance information as appropriate.
  • Monitors and responds to billing inquiry email boxes and responds appropriately.
  • Provide patient estimates for upcoming procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years’ experience in customer service or related healthcare experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates strong organization skills, attention to detail, with timely follow through.
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to accept constructive feedback and initiate appropriate actions to correct situations.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Confidentiality Policies.
  • Ability to stop and ask questions if uncertain about what is needed with certain situations.
  • Ability to work with a positive attitude and be a team player.
Skills Requirements
  • Must have prior customer service experience.
  • Must demonstrate strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Word/Excel/Outlook, and payer portals.
  • Must demonstrate ability to type 40 WPM required (alphanumeric & 10-key typing).
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail in a deadline sensitive environment.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret certain documents, (i.e. EOB’s, statements).
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, and/or clients.
