Description

• Real Estate appraisal skills applied to eminent domain acquisitions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Uniform Act, USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) and eminent domain laws.
• Ability to explain the acquisition appraisal methodology.
• Ability to read highway plats, plans, profiles, and cross sections.
• Conduct field inspections of a variety of properties, including residential, commercial, special-purpose, and vacant.
• A good understanding of real estate principles.
• Perform sales reviews and analyses.
• Gather, record, and analyze a variety of data, such as zoning, highest and best use, flood information.
• Excellent record keeping skills, maintain an updated property information file.

Qualifications

• Certified General Appraiser or Licensed Appraiser.
• Extensive knowledge of the principles and practices of real estate appraisal including laws and statutes pertaining to eminent domain.
• Knowlege of eminent domain appraisal concepts.
• Extensive knowledge of real estate concepts and principles.
• Knowledge of land economic principles.
• Knowledge of mathematical formulas and statistical methods used in appraisal.
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of right-of-way acquisition under state and federal law.
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of residential and commercial relocation under state and federal laws is preferred, but not a requirement.
• Conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to mentor and train others in technical disciplines.
• Teamwork skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Valid driver's license and ability to provide own means of travel in Wisconsin as needed.
