This role will be on-site at the Corteva location.

What You'll Do:

  • Contribute to the mechanical maintenance team by performing building maintenance, preventive maintenance, general troubleshooting, repairs, and projects to control/maintain the environment and working conditions for employees and to control/maintain laboratory conditions required for company research activities.
  • Interface as needed with contractors to coordinate projects and vendors/suppliers regarding needed materials and supplies.
  • Prioritize and organize work schedule by utilizing PM system reports and work orders. Maintain accuracy, neatness, code requirements and assure jobs are completed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain all work on the PM/Work order system.
  • Coordinate with supervisor when decision-making questions are needed for job completion.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Education:

  • You have your high school diploma/GED.

What Skills You Need:

  • You have 2 years of trade experience/education in a maintenance related field.
  • You have proven skills in troubleshooting A/C and refrigeration systems, HVAC systems, and building electric systems.
  • You are knowledgeable of 120 volt, 220 volt systems, single phase and 3-phase electricity.
  • You have experience and proven abilities in using computer systems and programs including (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • You are able to work both independently and in a team setting with limited supervision.
  • You have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • You have a valid US driver's license.
  • You are willing and able to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • You are solutions focused and experienced in problem solving and troubleshooting of equipment and systems.
  • You are willing and able to work a primarily Monday through Friday daytime schedule and be part of the on-call rotation schedule as needed.

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Experience with boiler / hydronic systems, or you have a Journeyman Plumber License.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic systems, electrical controls.
  • Knowledge of Building Automation systems and CMMS systems.
