Job Description:

Duties & Responsibilities

• Independently develops and implements custom quantitative ligand binding assays, e.g., ELISA, MSD, Quanterix and/or Gyros to measure antibodies, protein therapeutics and biomarkers in biological matrices
• Troubleshoots effectively and solves scientific problems independently; Operates lab equipment and is independently responsible for maintenance
• Designs and executes non-routine experiments on a basis of literature analyses with minimal supervision
• Independently applies basic scientific principles, performs literature searches, attends scientific meetings, and keeps abreast of literature in own field
• Proposes new experiments/technologies based on science as well as overall understanding of drug discovery/development process
• Contributes to defining R&D team goals and collaborates with scientists within and outside functional area in achieving them; Assumes departmental responsibility as representative on project teams and contributes to defining expertise-related aspects of overall program goals
• Positively impacts project strategy and decision making using working knowledge of NBE PK, potential to learn and train on more advanced PK knowledge including modeling
• Reports and treats data with a high level of integrity and ethics; Prepares clear protocols, procedures, technical reports and scientific reports, external publications and oral presentations. Independently communicates results in the form of reports and/or presentations
• Demonstrates collaborative excellence in a highly matrixed, virtual work environment
• Complies with all applicable regulations; ensures that work performed in area of responsibility is conducted in a safe and compliant manner; maintains proper records in accordance with SOPs and policies

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant scientific discipline with at least 5 years of bio-process or formulation support experience or Master's Degree with 3 years industry experience.

Must have the ability to operate and train team members on current instrumentation/equipment and learn then train new technology and concepts. Concise and accurate reporting of technical data and information.

Must have basic and advanced lab skills, experience with bacteria, viruses and cell culture. Understanding of processes related to bioreactor/fermentation, down-stream methods and lyophilization, hands on experience with formulation of biological products and operation of reactors and cell culture equipment.

Ability to troubleshoot problems and take corrective actions to solve the problem. Statistical analysis of data experience utilizing Statistical software.

This position will be expected to lead (with management alignment) and may assist higher level scientists in experimental designed to enhance and/or current processes, investigation of problems related to biological products, and to develop new or improve existing production processes.

Leading team members and Hands on assistance will be required for both small scale and large scale bioreactor/fermentor processes, down stream processes and lyophilization processes.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
