Job Title: Health and PE Teacher.

Core Accountabilities: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Health and Physical Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality instruction in health and physical education based on North Carolina state standards. This individual will play a crucial role in promoting healthy lifestyles, physical fitness, and overall well-being among our students.

- Develop and implement engaging curriculum for health and physical education classes in alignment with North Carolina state standards.
- Plan and deliver differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with varying abilities and learning styles.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement, participation, and personal growth.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technologies to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
- Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and stakeholders to support student success and promote a holistic approach to education.
- Integrate relevant health topics into the curriculum.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular activities, such as sports teams, fitness clubs, and health-related events.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and the community to support the overall well-being of students.
- Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in health and physical education, continuously seeking opportunities for professional growth and development.
Essential Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of health and physical education concepts and proficiency in teaching a range of health and physical education topics.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Health Education, Physical Education, or related field.
- Valid teaching certification/license in North Carolina preferred.
- Previous teaching experience, preferably in a charter school or diverse educational setting.
