Job Overview: Cosmetic Solutions is seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist with a strong background in the cosmetics industry. The Business Development Specialist will act as a liaison between internal departments and external business development representatives, enabling them to focus on revenue generation and meeting key performance indicators. The ideal candidate will boast a proven track record in establishing and nurturing client relationships, possess strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, and ensure seamless day-to-day operations and execution. This position demands a strategic thinker with exceptional communication abilities and a profound understanding of the cosmetics market. Additionally, this position will allow for significant interaction with clients including being a local business development lead for our South Florida based clients.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product development, R & D, and regulatory compliance, to support business development initiatives and deliver innovative solutions to clients.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external business development team and internal departments.
  • Handle incoming inquiries for new and existing customers, manage formula requests, and initiate projects in the system (NetSuite).
  • Oversee lead qualification and discovery process to assess if leads meet Cosmetic Solutions' minimum order quantity requirements and capabilities.
  • Monitor and review all new and existing NDA's, contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Manage retail account portals, item setup and maintenance.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to enhance client retention and satisfaction.
  • Maintain pipeline accuracy, updating opportunities, wins and losses
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities for Cosmetic Solutions.
  • Represent Cosmetic Solutions at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the brand and expand professional networks.
  • Handle various administrative duties as required.
  • Call on local accounts between Maimi and West Palm Beach. Develop solid working relationship and support day-to-day business.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales roles within the cosmetics industry, preferably in private label manufacturing.
  • Extensive working knowledge of NetSuite a must.
Strong understanding of cosmetics manufacturing processes, industry regulations, and market trends.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective business development plans.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a passion for driving business success and exceeding targets.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
