**Job Summary:** We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Agent to join our team. The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating materials to ensure the smooth operation of our supply chain. **Duties:** - Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with business objectives - Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production, and distribution capabilities - Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms - Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements - Collaborate with production planning and inventory management teams to optimize supply chain efficiency - Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels - Stay current on industry trends and market conditions **Experience:** - Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar role - Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles - Familiarity with inventory management systems - Proficiency in sourcing and negotiating prices - Experience with E-commerce platforms for procurement - Ability to work with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like Edwards - Excellent communication and negotiation skills - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Purchasing Agent to contribute to our organization's success by ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials.
