Coston Marine Services, Inc. is a marine construction company specializing in dredging, seawalls, sheet piles, docks, rock revetments and erosion control type projects. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Lead/Project Manager to join our team to oversee projects, participate with estimating and selling and assist in the management of company operations. The Operations Lead/Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, managing crews, and finalizing construction projects as related to scheduling and project backlog. This role includes managing resources, coordinating with clients and suppliers while ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent leadership skills, and specific experience with dredging and marine construction type projects. What You Will Do: Project Planning and Management: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Monitor and report on project progress, adjusting as necessary to ensure successful project completion. Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. Facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure all parties are informed and aligned with project goals. Resource Management: Oversee the selection and management of subcontractors, suppliers, and labor force. Ensure that all equipment receives proper maintenance and repairs. Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations. Safety Management: Promote and enforce a culture of safety on all job sites. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and best practices. Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and financial performance. Identify and address any variances to keep projects on track financially. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports. Provide regular updates to clients as needed. Communication and status updates to the owner/president. What You Will Bring: Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, focusing on dredging, seawalls, sheet pilings, docks, marinas, or similar projects. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, barge and heavy equipment logistics. Proven ability to manage projects and deliver results on time and within budget. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) and other relevant tools. Knowledge of environmental regulations related to ACOE and State Department of Environmental Permitting processes related to marine construction. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to water, weather, and construction site hazards. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds. Ability to travel to project sites as required.
