Cothrom Risk & Insurance Services is Hiring a Commercial Insurance Account Executive Near Fort Lauderdale, FL

Job Description:

Cothrom is looking to add a high level, resourceful, proactive, experienced Account Executive. You will handle a diverse book of commercial property & casualty accounts that could range in manufacturing, technology, life sciences, non-profits, construction and community associations.

The role will expected to handle some accounts without producer support, and on larger accounts work with the producer to ensure a high level of service, including delivery of service timelines.

Expertise is sought in policy coverage and analysis, contract review, worker’s compensation mods. A CIC or CPCU designation is expected. Additional designations such as RPLU, CRIS, CMIP, MLIS or a worker’s comp designation will be valued.

You will be overseeing an account manager and account technician with additional pooled support.

Required Qualifications:

Desired Qualifications:

Secondary to the above evaluation, these factors will impact our hiring decisions, but are not requirements:

  • Industry Experience – years of prior commercial P&C industry experience
  • Technological Experience – Cothrom uses technology to its fullest extent possible, comfort using Applied Systems, Indio, electronic signature systems, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat etc.
  • Communication Skills – professionalism in oral and written communication
  • Continuing Education – acquisition of industry designations such as the CPCU

Physical & Mental Requirements:

Ability to complete each of these tasks 7-8 hrs per day, unless otherwise noted:

  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs rarely, less than 5 minutes a day
  • Sit at a desk continuously
  • Upper body range of motion and dexterity sufficient for constant use of a keyboard, mouse, phone and other office equipment
  • Typing speed in excess of 35 wpm
  • Vision sufficient for constant use of computer
  • Hearing sufficient for daily in-person, video and telephone communication, 3-5 hours a day
  • Able to concentrate on moderate detail with constant interruption
  • Able to attend task/function for 45 min – 1 hour at a time, frequently 4-6 hours a day
  • Able to remember multiple tasks/assignments given to self and others during the course of the day
  • Able to remember multiple tasks/assignments given to self and others over long periods of time
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in written word at standard high school level vocabulary
