Our new woodshop supervisor will need to possess time management skills, an innate ability to identify problems, and instinctive resolution skills.

The ideal candidate must operate with a high degree of skill, self-sufficiency, desire to teach, and driven to continuously learn. We are looking to bring on an individual with a minimum 5 years of woodshop experience with strong management skills.

Woodshop Roles:

• A genuine passion for woodworking
• Manage all shop operations
• Material planning and inventory control of stock material
• Supervision and interpretation of shop drawings
• Supervise and training of current and new employees
• Maintaining a safe work environment
• Maintain production to meet the completion of the production schedule
• Develop a production schedule
• Motivate and lead employees to be focused and productive

Woodshop Foreman responsibilities include, but not limited too:

• Comprehensive knowledge of tools/machinery
• Operate woodworking machinery safely and competently
• Advance use hand tools
• Operate a table saw, miter saw, jointer, planer, shaper.... etc.
• Cut, fabricate, and the assembly of cabinets, faceframes, doors and drawer fronts
• Cabinet assembly and cabinet installation
• Perform basic maintenance and upkeep on woodworking tools and machinery, and other general shop maintenance
• Mill and sand custom molding packages
• Knowledge of installation and assembly of custom millwork
• Application of various finishes
• Quality control

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
