Part-time, seasonal position with an average of 10-15 hours per week including practices and games; Flexible schedule including weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays; FREE family membership!
Qualifications
- Current American Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR. OR WILLING TO CERTIFY
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Knowledge of competitive water polo skills, rules and strategies
- Competitive water polo background.
- Approved Criminal Background Investigation Check if over 18 years of age
Basic Duties
- Write a daily workout plan utilizing a variety of training sets or drills.
- Assist athletes in progressing through skill levels, observe and correct errors, and focus on the development of required water polo skills and game tactics among team members.
- Teaches in accordance with USA Water Polo and FINA rules.
- Attend games, supervise and motivate athletes, assist in determining game strategy, direct warm-up exercises, evaluate athletes' performances and offer suggestions for improvement.
- Attend to the emotional and mental well being of athletes.
- Maintain attendance rolls and reports daily, weekly, and monthly. Submit reports as required by Administration.
- Ensure the safety of water polo team members.
- Assist other coaches in duties as needed.
- Keep Head Coach informed of team activities and any significant problems.
- Attend Coaches' meetings as scheduled.
- Projects a positive and professional image to parents and the public.
- Communicate with parents regularly.
- Attend all meetings and games as assigned by Administration.
- Comply with all Utah High School Spring Water Polo League bylaws.
