The role of Med Clinic Operations Directorrequires a licensed Medical Provider (DO, MD, NP) in Oklahoma with a current DEA number in good standing (with preferred history of training and experience in psychiatry or prescribing psychiatric medications). A minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of direct supervisory/administrative experience in healthcare settings. Demonstrated commitment to providing services to medically underserved populations. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Starting annual salary for Med Clinic Operations Director is $141,000.00

Counseling & Recovery Services of Oklahoma provides mental health and substance abuse treatment, physical health care management and wellness services for over 5,000 children and adults annually. General Expectations:

Under the direction of the Clinical Director, the Med Clinic Operations Director will oversee the day-to-day operations of medical care services (typically medication management) provided by CRS. Utilizing the principles and practices of the Sanctuary Model, the Med Clinic Operations Director monitors clinical performance to ensure that medical services and operations comply with all applicable regulatory and licensing agencies.
The Med Clinic Operations Director is responsible for implementing and reviewing clinical protocols, performance objectives, productivity benchmarks, compliance measures, provider workflow planning, and scheduling in collaboration with the Clinical Director. As a coach, mentor, trainer, and supervisor to staff providers, the Med Clinic Operations Director serves a a resource for the entire agency, offering guidance on best practices, troubleshooting medical services, and addressing operational issues based on priority and agency policy.
As a licensed provider, the Med Clinic Operations Director will also direct client services according to the needs of the agency and in alignment with standards of practice and established productivity expectations. Experience in using and navigating electronic medical records is also required.


Example of Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage relationship with the consulting psychiatrist (Medical Director) and other med clinic vendor to ensure the appropriate prescribing of psychiatric medications and expectation on service are being met.
  • Work with the Clinical and Medical Director to develop and maintain a plan for growth, expansion and/or development of programs; solve existing and anticipated organizational problems; and write and/or revise policies/procedures that will enhance achievement of organizational goals.
  • Responsible for establishing/reinforcing system of accountability for medical staff to include productivity benchmarks, performance measures and controls for clinical quality assurance, including resolving client complaints.
  • Participate in recruitment of qualified clinical staff including interviewing and recommendation for hire. Monitor and assist with new hire orientation process and conduct performance evaluations on all direct reports.
  • Ensure medical services and operations are in compliance with all applicable regulatory and licensing agencies.


Other Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director.


Physical Requirements:
Must be able to move from location to location, bending, stooping, lifting 25 pounds, communicate clearly, prepare written communications, present information to other employees, process complex information within established procedures/programs, enter data to various programs. Must be able to climb stairs and access non-handicapped equipped residences/facilities.
