Country Place Apartments is Hiring an Apartment Maintenance Technician Near Sterling, IL
Seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician for an apartment complex in Sterling IL. This position is currently part time with the potential to be full time in early 2025.
The Maintenance Technician must be professional and ensure the functionality of the buildings on a daily basis.
Candidate must have experience with apartment or building maintenance, construction, or in a related field. Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines.
Job duties include:
- Daily work orders
- Daily Grounds work and clean up,
- Weekly mowing and weed control
- Equipment troubleshooting and repair
- Apartment unit turns
- Additional tasks in the winter include salting and clearing sidewalks
- Lock changes
- Communicating with vendors effectively for service calls
Technician will be on call for emergencies after hours.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation and be able to pass a background check.
Technician must be able to communicate with supervisors and other team members effectively. Will be required to comply with Fair Housing Laws, work safely in the complex environment, and remain professional and courteous to residents.
Part time hours are Monday - Friday 20-25 hours per week 9 am - 2 pm.
Position is potential for full time starting in Spring of 2025 at two complex locations.
Paid vacation, sick, and holidays available along with Health benefits when full time takes effect.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
