JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Greet and interact with customers.

• Consult with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise.

• Assist customer orders by loading and unloading products as needed.

• Maintain product stock in the store and warehouse.

• Assemble products and displays.

• Deliver products to customer delivery points.

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment (delivery truck, forklift, etc.) and facilities.

• Dispense propane and kerosene.

• Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks.

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

• Exhibit an ability to get along with others.

• Practice punctual and reliable attendance.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment.

• Possess a valid driver license and maintain a safe driving record.

• Commitment to excellence and high standards especially in terms of providing customer service.

• Physical ability to stand for extended periods; walk, bend, stoop and kneel frequently.

• Lift, carry, push, pull and load up to 60 pounds.

• Proven track record of being dependable and reliable.

• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing in a manner with co-workers and customers for safety purposes

• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Product knowledge preferred in one or more of the following areas: feed, seed, pet food & supplies, hardware, fencing, animal health, tack, clothing & footwear, lawn & garden or wild bird supplies

• Experience safely operating pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.

SCHEDULE

This is a part-time position, 24 – 28 hours per week (schedule may vary). Sunday through Saturday. Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This is a part time position, $16.80 – $19.80/hour. Upon meeting eligibility requirements, benefits include:
