Countryside YMCA Teacher Assistants share the responsibility of preparing and conducting daily child development activities and help to maintain a safe, healthy environment for the children in the center.
Hours and Days: Monday-Friday (12:00pm-6:00pm)
Rate of Pay: $11.00/hour, may increased based upon education and experience.
Responsibilities: You will work in the assigned classroom with the lead teacher to assist with interaction, planning, supervising, and implementing the program in accordance with the goals and policies of the YMCA.
Minimum Requirements: You should be at least 18 years old and have a High School Diploma/GED. Must pass a background check. Previous experience in licensed childcare is preferred, although in certain positions training may be provided. Full-time positions require a CDA or degree in ECE or similar.
The successful candidate must have a commitment to the YMCA mission and values; be successful in relationship building across the organization and community, be innovative and resourceful.
All part-time staff working a minimum of 16 hours per quarter will receive a complimentary individual membership to the Countryside YMCA!
