Counts Construction Co., Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our team. As a Project Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing construction projects, assessing costs, and providing accurate estimates. Experience with AGTEK required. The ideal candidate will be proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Procore and will have previous experience in construction estimating, project management, and cost control for site development, heavy civil construction and underground infrastructure
```Responsibilities```
- Analyze project plans, RFP's, RFQ's, specifications, and requirements to determine project scope and requirements
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to prepare take-offs, acquire materials quotes and subcontractor bids
- Utilize estimating software such as AGTEK, Procore, and Excel to prepare detailed cost estimates
- Research and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals
- Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers
- Prepare comprehensive bid packages for submission to clients
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide cost control recommendations
- Collaborate with the project team to identify value engineering opportunities
- Review change orders and assess their impact on project costs
```Experience```
- Proven experience in construction estimating and project management
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
- Proficiency in using estimating software such as AGTEK, Procore, and Excel
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts
- Excellent mathematical skills for accurate cost calculations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with project teams, subcontractors and clients with the ability to represent the company at project meetings
