Position Details

Edwardsburg Public Schools, a National Blue Ribbon district, is accepting applications for a full-time, dynamic, energetic Elementary Grades 4-5 / Middle School Art Teacher .

The successful candidate will maintain a positive learning environment, effectively hold high academic expectations, and create a student-centered classroom while building rapport with students, parents, and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS :

A. Valid Michigan teaching certificate

Must be highly qualified to teach elementary Art in Michigan

D. Ability to work with other professionals in a collaborative manner

E. High level of interpersonal skills to communicate verbally and in writing

DUTIES :

• Plan and deliver instruction using the National Standards for Arts Education, for students in elementary grades 4-5 / middle school using evidence-based instructional strategies
• Provide and maintain an orderly classroom environment
• Possess a working knowledge of formative and summative assessment strategies that align with the National Standards for Arts Education and can be used to monitor student achievement and growth
• Work independently and cooperatively in the teaching mode
• Perform other duties as assigned by administrator
