The Clinical psychologist is a full time 40-hour per week staff position. The responsibilities of the position include providing forensic clinical assessments and treatment of adolescents. The position interfaces frequently with the Family Court.
Job Responsibilities:
· Conduct Court-ordered psychological evaluations for youth pre and post adjudicated for a variety of offenses. These assessments are conducted in both an outpatient setting and in the Bergen County Juvenile Detention Center.
· Conduct Court-ordered psychosexual assessments of post adjudicated youth involved in sexual offenses.
· Conduct clinical assessments of youth referred by the Court or as part of the law enforcement diversion process.
· Appear in Court upon request to provide mental health perspective on assessed youth.
· Conduct psycho-educational and or clinical individual and group sessions.
· Attend case management meetings and staff meetings.
· Carry a caseload of individual patients and provide group therapy.
40 hours per week, weekdays, will include evening hours.
Education Requirements: Doctoral Degree in psychology.
Other Requirements:
Forensic experience preferred
