Licensed Gas Fitter Technician
GRAFTON COUNTY COMPLEX - FULL TIME
Dayshift, Monday-Friday, includes every 7th weekend
Flexibility exists to work the evening shift (3-11 PM) and earn an extra $2.75 per hour in shift differential
$2,000 SIGN ON BONUS*
The first $1,000 paid after 3-months of successful, continuous service and the remaining
$1,000 paid after 6-months of successful, continuous service.
Primary Duties :
Services all county-owned propane equipment and appliances such as: In-ground and above ground tanks, regulators, valves, piping and associated appurtenances, propane vaporizers/recovery systems, hot air furnaces, Modine type heaters, make up air unit pre-heaters, on-demand hot water heaters, stoves, ovens, ranges, griddles, skillets, steamers, steam kettles and dryers
Engineers all new in-house installed gas systems and or modifies existing systems throughout county buildings to ensure systems meet NFPA 54, state regulations and industry standards. Oversees selection of materials, fabrication and installation of subject systems and circuits to ensure quality of work and to ensure the installed system meets design specifications
Participates in review of all outside engineering gas-related plans for new construction and expansion projects.
Reviews contractor submittals to verify submittals meet: NFPA 54, state regulations, industry standards and facilitates future maintenance requirements. Once approved, ensures contractors properly install what was approved.
Secondary Duties may include : Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance complex-wide, on other equipment outside of gas-fitter trade.
Prerequisites: Must be drug-free, have a valid driver's license and a good driving record. Must also have ability to lift, carry and position objects of varied sizes, weighing up to 70 lbs., using proper lifting techniques.

Credential Requirements :

1. An active, State of NH Gas-fitters license
2. Minimum of 3-years, continuous service, as a licensed gas-fitter
