COUNTY OF GRAFTON is Hiring a Licensed Maintenance Asst-Commercial HVAC Refrigeration Near North Haverhill, NH
Description Dayshift, Monday-Friday, includes every 7th weekend Flexibility exists to work the evening shift (3-11 PM) and earn an extra $2.75 per hour in shift differential $2,000 SIGN ON BONUS The first $1,000 paid after 3-months of successful, continuous service and the remaining $1,000 paid after 6-months of successful, continuous service. Primary Duties: Performs all servicing, maintenance and troubleshooting of the county's HVAC and refrigeration equipment and appliances in accordance with EPA Section 608 and ASHRAE code requirements. Oversees selection of materials, fabrication and installation of subject systems, ensuring quality of work meets code and performs per design specifications. Participates in review of all engineering HVAC and refrigeration plans for new construction and expansion projects. Reviews contractor submittals to verify submittals meet: engineer's design intent, all applicable HVAC-refrigeration codes and facilitates future maintenance requirements. Secondary Duties may include : Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance complex-wide; including but not limited to: masonry work, plumbing, carpentry-cabinetmaking, painting, grounds maintenance, servicing and repair of department vehicles and grounds keeping equipment. Also performs all non-licensed/certified required tasks on elevators, boilers, water/sewage/electric meters, sewage grinders & lift stations, pumps, commercial kitchen & laundry equipment, computerized-building management systems, sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, in-ground fuel tank monitoring and alarm systems, perimeter & panic alarms, electronic security systems, Freon alarm systems, patient monitoring systems, patient lift apparatus's, electronic hospital beds, wheelchairs and medical equipment Requirements Must possess the following HVAC/refrigeration credentials:
EPA Section 608 Certificate (Universal type)
RSES or NATE Senior-Level Technician Certification or HVAC Excellence Profession-Level Technician Certificate
In lieu of credential two, applicant must have 5- years of continuous, verifiable service experience on commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
Must be computer literate and proficient in reading blueprints and schematics.
Must be drug-free, have a valid driver's license and a good driving record. Must also have ability to lift, carry and position objects of varied sizes, weighing up to 70 lbs., using proper lifting techniques.
